Meet Pastor Rich Wright
Pastor Rich Wright has been serving the Lord in ministry for more than 40 years, faithfully sharing the Gospel and shepherding God's people. His passion is simple: helping people come to know Jesus Christ and grow deeper in their love for Him.
Whether serving in Africa or reaching out to neighbors next door, Pastor Rich believes the Great Commission is the calling of every believer—to go into all the world and proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. He considers it a tremendous privilege to be called by God into ministry and finds great joy in seeing lives transformed by the love and grace of Christ.
Pastor Rich and his wife, Myrna, have been married for 47 years. Together they have raised four children and are blessed with 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
After years of ministry and fellowship through Applegate Christian Fellowship under the ministry of Pastor Jon Courson, Pastor Rich and Myrna continued following God's call wherever He led. They moved to Idaho in 1985 and have enjoyed the adventure of following God's leading ever since through years of pastoring, teaching, and serving His people.
Calvary Chapel Parma began after God started stirring Pastor Rich's heart with a burden for people who needed a shepherd. As he and Myrna spent time fasting and praying, they surrendered themselves completely to the Lord, praying, “We will go where You want us to go, say what You want us to say, and do what You want us to do. We are Yours, Lord.”
Out of that season of prayer and obedience, Calvary Chapel Parma was established in September 2025. Pastor Rich continues to lead the fellowship with a heart for biblical teaching, discipleship, and helping people discover the life-changing love of Jesus Christ. He encourages believers that when we seek God's will and listen for His voice, He is faithful to lead and direct our paths.
Pastor Rich received his pastoral training through Boise Bible College, Calvary Chapel Bible School Twin Peaks, Cole Community School in Boise. He was also trained at The State Police Academy in Oregon where he served as a Police Officer for 10 years prior to entering full-time ministry.
If you have questions or would like to learn more about Calvary Chapel Parma, Pastor Rich would be delighted to hear from you.
